What is Abseiling or RappellingWhat is Abseiling or Rappelling

Abseiling (or rappelling) is a controlled descent from the top of a rock face or crag. Many people learn how to abseil as children and requires a little less gear than or equipment than climbing. Malta has many rock faces that have both top and bottom access making them ideal for people wanting to abseil and not climb. Climbing can start at the top of a crag and climbers will abseil to descend to the base of the route ready to start the rock climb back up to the top.

We can accommodate small and large groups for abseiling and often abseiling activities are combined with other adventure activities like rock climbing and sea level traversing.

All activities are adapted to suit your experience.

Abseiling is also called rappelling, and is the controlled descent down a rock face using a rope. Climbers use this technique when a cliff or slope is too steep and/or dangerous to descend without protection.
